Adido clients make it to the small screen

Clients of web design agency, Adido Solutions, have recently been featured on national and local TV.

Charles Leadbeater

First, influential innovation and creativity writer, Charles Leadbeater featured on BBC2's Newsnight. He appeared with Andrew Keen author of ‘Cult of the Amateur’ to discuss the trustworthiness of online information. The presenter introduced the debate by stating that years ago published information was reasonably reliable. He then went onto say that people are starting to forget that anyone can publish anything on the web and there is no longer any quality control, meaning there is no guarantee that what you read is reliable.

We worked with Charles in 2006 to develop an interactive version of his book 'We Think'. It allowed visitors on the website to make comments, not only on each chapter of the book, but also on individual sentences, so that users could discuss points at any part of the text. This allowed Charles to collaborate with users across the planet to help him refine his ideas and improve his book, prior to its printed release.

Royal Yacht Bloodhound

Our second client to be featured on TV was the Royal Yacht Bloodhound. The legendary Bloodhound has finally been launched after a huge restoration which took the owner Tony McGrail four years to complete and cost nearly £1 million. The Bloodhound was once a royal favourite and owned by Prince Phillip but at 70 years old it was due a well earned restoration to return her to her natural beauty. In the yachting world the Bloodhound is legendary and now with the restoration she is entering a new era.

The yacht was featured on ITV Meridian, and the full television clip can be seen on the Royal Yacht Bloodhound website
