The Problem
Ridge is a property and construction consultancy with offices across the UK. Their website was developed, managed and maintained by their in house marketing team, which meant that any changes that needed to be made had to go through one person. This lead to difficulties updating content, imagery and new information which, at times, left the website out of date.
The Solution
After analysing the work processes and needs of the Ridge website, we worked with the in-house designer to develop a set of templates to use throughout the site which would integrate with our content management system Dub3. Dub3 allowed multiple users to add to the website without actually putting pages directly online. This meant that workload could be shared and administration users had to manage content rather than design and development, making them more efficient in their jobs.
How We Achieved It
- Implemented Dub3Pro content management system
- Developed a series of website templates using XHTML and CSS with the Ridge in house designer
- Delivered Dub3 training to ensure users could work with Dub3 after delivery
The Benefits
- Increased staff efficiency as all staff can add to website; admin users can decide what to publish online
- Increase in number of website visitors due to web development using XHTML and CSS
- Ongoing support to make minor changes to website
Project Timescale
Once work began on the Ridge website, it was completed inside two months. Most of this time was spent rewriting and updating content using the Dub3 system
