The Problem

Primera Sport are a leading provider of assos clothing and bike equipment in the UK. They had been using Google Adwords PPC marketing for over three years. During this time, they felt that PPC advertising had been working for the company, and they had generated enquiries as a result of their spend. However, they knew that they hadn't fully exploited the power of PPC marketing and so needed to speak to an Adwords professional in order to maximise their PPC spend.

The Solution

We were given access to the Google Adwords PPC account in the Spring of 2007. Upon first review of the campaign, there were numerous places that the campaign could be improved.

We carried out a comprehensive review of the PPC campaign, carrying out full keyword research on the most popular items on the website, identifying new keywords to target and implementing various other features of the PPC platform, to increase the targeting of the adverts and increase ROI on their spend.

The results

We surprised even ourselves with the results from the campaign. Before we implemented the new changes on the campaign, we improved the monitoring of the existing campaign to have a clear month by month comparison.

Here are just some of the results achieved;

  • Increase in sales across the UK
  • 638% increase in online sales from PPC in one month
  • 604% decrease in conversion costs
  • 400% increase in clicks from existing budget
  • New customer acquisition and purchases from as little as 58p

Project Timescale
